As an importer and downstream user of metals, we are obligated to register them or to make them registered by our suppliers.
An updated list of candidates (status 27.06.2018) in accordance with article 59 (1), para 10 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) has been published.
Substances of very high concern (SVHC) are considered to be potentially subject to authorization under the REACH regulation. With effect from the 27.06.2018 the material lead was added to the SVHC candidate list.
As part of our obligation to provide information to our customers, we would like to inform you that our products may contain the following substance of the current list of candidates in a concentration of more than 0.1 mass percent (w/w):
PB ( CAS number: 7439-92-1, EC number: 231-100-4)
A corresponding overview with the affected alloys is currently being created. The same applies to the corresponding safety data sheets.

- Consumer protection in the potable water sector
The Forum GMS interest group, which incorporates the leading German manufacturers of sanitation components, calls for lead-free sanitary installations for the purposes of modern consumer protection.
The next meeting will take place on 13/06/2013 at the Hilton in Mainz. The schedule is as described in the Agenda. Continuing the well-established Forum pro Aqcua, the "Gütegemeinschaft Messing-Sanitär" invites people to the Forum GMS this year. In addition to the former joint organisers Diehl Metall Messing and Wieland Werke, OTTO FUCHS Dülken will also be present for the second time.
True to the motto: "Success begins in the mind - Identifying opportunities - Exploiting potential."
All the topics regarding the different legal conditions and potable water hygiene requirements in Europe and the USA will be dealt with, and the opportunities for growth and success as a result of this will be discussed.
OTTO FUCHS Dülken also produces innovative lead-free materials, such as the alloy Cuphin. It ideally meets the ever-stricter requirements for materials that come into contact with potable water. This means that products fabricated from semi-finished products of this alloy make an important contribution to assuring the quality of our most vital resource for life.
